Association of Upper Egypt for Education and Development (AUEED) presented the second edition of the "Arts from Upper Egypt to the World" Festival on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Italian Cultural Institute Theatre in Cairo. The event was attended by Dr. Laila Iskandar, Vice president of AUEED and the former Minister of Environment of Egypt.
This edition followed the festival’s first performance in November 2024 which was held at the Jesuit Theatre in Minya. The showcased performances were inspired by Minya’s cultural heritage, reinterpreted to show contemporary and pressing issues. The festival featured a mesmerizing performance of "Balad Zeinab" operetta by the AUEED Choir in Minya, alongside the "Abu Zaid" show performed by the Ceremonial Tahtib Team, both of which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
